Oikos Overview
Your Oikos has everything you need to start your own social network. Calendars, forums, blogs, videos, pictures, instant messaging, and the list goes on.
Your Oikos has a home page (shown left) that is easy to personalize. You don’t need to be a web developer to make your own page.

Chat
You can chat with any member of Oikos instantly as long as they’re online. If they’re not online, you can leave them a message for the next time they log on.

Calendar
Your Oikos calendar keeps track of group events, and events that pertain to your entire organization. Everyone stays on the same page.

Forum
Your Oikos has forums where you can discuss matters that are important to you and your organization. Everyone has a voice, a chance to be involved.

Media
The media albums allow you to share pictures, video and audio. For example, you could use the media albums to show the progress of a project, show photos from a recent conference or share a podcast series.

Member Directory
You can view all the members of your Oikos and sort through them alphabetically. You can add people to your friends list, as well as start chat conversations.

Group Directory
You can create groups in your Oikos to keep everything and everyone organized. Groups can be created for anything. You can manage projects, or simply allow people to share common interests.

Personal - Canvas
Each member of your Oikos has a canvas where they can express themself. You use widgets to upload photos, videos, audio and text. You can place these widgets anywhere on your canvas. You can also
set a background color, or upload a background image.

Personal - Profile
Each member has a profile page where they can tell people in your organization a little bit about themself. They can see a list of all their friends, and leave them comments.

Personal - Blog
The blog is a way for each member to share their personal experiences with the people of your organization. A blog can be used many different ways. You can relate what you’ve learned at a conference or share a personal insight.

Each member also has a personal version of the media albums.
